image1WHAT WE OFFER

FUNDOLOR is an Scientific Society specialised in pain programmes that, by world-renowned faculty, provides in its courses a practical information, a highly interactive learning, that the participant can use immediately in his/her practice

With a long experience, internationally recognized, we are doing cadaver (frozen/defrosted) workshops for the practice of interventional procedures of pain treatment that cover the current management of pain within a multidisciplinary framework. All our training courses are practically orientated including hands-on part in the anatomy department, where the physicians attending will learn on cadaver different techniques for the management of the chronic pain patient.

In our pain courses we provide specific education on the use of fluoroscopy and other imaging modalities such as ultrasound. All the techniques in frozen (defrosted) cadavers are made using both fluoroscopy and ultrasound, throughout our work stations The courses are designed for pain practitioners (pain specialists, anesthesiologists, neurosurgeons,...), interested in the practice of pain management, who seek the latest developments in techniques.

The main language in our courses is English, and all documents and educational activity is giving in this language.

Our curriculum includes the latest advances in both diagnosis and treatment of chronic pain conditions. We organise 3 courses a year (may, june & november), all of them in the CLINIC HOSPITAL AND ANATOMY DEPARTMENT AT THE MEDICINE UNIVERSITY IN BARCELONA, SPAIN.

A list of the procedures covered in our courses include the following: Spinal Cord Stimulation; Intrathecal Drug Delivery and Intrathecal Pump Implantation; Musculoskeletal (MSK) sonoanatomy (hip knee, shoulder, hand, elbow and ankle) and scanning; Cervical Facet Block & Radiofrequency Lesioning; Kyphoplasty & Vertebroplasty ; Lumbar Facet Block, SI Joint injection and Ablation; Head & Neck Blocks for pain management; Sympathetic blocks: Splanchnic nerve block Lumbar Sympathetic, Hypogastric Plexus; Minimally Invasive Lumbar Decompression (MILD); Epiduroscopy...

image2INTERVENTIONAL PROCEDURES COURSE

Physicians should be able to integrate multiple aspects of ultrasound and fluoroscopy in interventional pain management in treating their patients so that patients have better outcomes.
This 2-day hands on cadaver course will promote a better understanding of the anatomy and pathophysiology, involved in chronic pain, and critically review novel stateof-the-art interventional techniques for management of chronic pain. We offer live fluoroscopy-guided and ultrasound-guided workshops covering head upper, lower extremities, trunk and pelvic-perineal procedures.

· Each cadaver station is limited to a maximum of 7 participants.
· C-arms, ultrasonography and state-of-the-art equipment are utilized in this course.
· Our faculty consists of internationally renowned experts in the field of interventional techniques.

OBJECTIVES
After participation in this educational meeting, participants should have an understanding of:
1.-Basic neuroanatomy related with the performance of pain therapies
2.-Identify questions that need to be addressed to increase knowledge of interventional procedures used in pain treatment
3.-Perform craneofacial and spinal procedures of the cervical, dorsal lumbar spine and pelvis.
4.-Define the characteristics of an ultrasound image and identify all landmarks of the cervical, lumbar and caudal.
5.-Define the principals and standards of an MSK ultrasound examination and perform ultrasound guided MSK injections of the shoulder, hip and knee.

image3INTRATHECAL DRUG DELIVERY COURSE

After participation in this educational meeting, participants should have an  understanding of:

1. Basic neuroanatomy related with the performance of intrathecal drug delivery
2. Current imaging and neurophysiology relevant for performing diagnosis and performing the intrathecal drug delivery for pain & spasticity treatment
3. Identify questions that need to be addressed to increase knowledge of intrathecal techniques used in chronic pain treatment
4. Current indications of Intrathecal drug delivery in chronic pain and Recommendations for the evaluation and management of these pain conditions
5. Evidence-Based recommendations and strategies in the patient screening and follow-up, in the managemet of intrathecal drug delivery analgesia
6. Learning Case scenarios for the acquisition of critical assessment and management skills

image4NEUROSTIMULATION COURSE

After participation in this educational meeting, participants should have an  understanding of:

1. Basic neuroanatomy related with the performance of pain therapies.
2. Clinical evidence regarding new and evolving treatments fir the treatment of pain.
3. Current imaging and electrophysiological technologies relevant for performing diagnosis and performing the invasive tecniques for pain treatment.
4. Common clinical problems in chronic pain and current recommendations for the evaluation and management of these pain conditions.
5. Evidence-Based treatments in pain medicine.
6. Indentify questions that need to be addressed to increase knowledge of neuromodulation techniques use in pain treatment.
7. How to design the Pain studies for obtaining better the evidence.

uemsUEMS ACCREDITATION

EACCME® Accreditation of event is requested for each of the courses. CME credits CME credits (ECMEC®s) by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®). are granted for every course.

Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent  number of AMA PRACategory 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at

ourfacultyOUR FACULTY

An international faculty will share their expertise through formal and informal discussions with one to one tuition of every technique. The aim is to allow delegates to practice on cadavers a variety of pain interventions under the guidance of renowed interventionalists  (check every programme to see faculty list)
